Even though Steve Greig’s beloved dog had died months ago, he was still very sad. At that point, he decided to give a happy life to another dog he had saved. But not just any dog from an animal shelter.
He went to the dog shelter near his home in Denver, Colorado, to adopt the older dog who was “least adaptable.” He did this because older dogs are often ignored. Greig is a very busy human dad now that he has rescued ten senior dogs from shelters. His 478k Instagram followers like that there is a lot of sweetness on his page.
He took in a Chihuahua that was 12 years old and had bad knees and a bad heart. The man named him Eeyore and took good care of him. Because of this, he now has more than ten pets living in his house.
Every day at five in the morning, Greig makes food for his big family of ten cute dogs. Most dogs eat different kinds of food.

His schedule is full of trips to the vet, walks through the park, and lots of affectionate cuddles.Greig writes on Instagram that whenever she sits or lies down in a dog-friendly place, there are always at least three or four dogs with her.
“They are just smarter animals,” says Greig. As you get older, you start to know what you want out of life better.
These older dogs are aware of themselves, and it’s easy to connect with someone or another animal who is also aware of themselves. It makes me happy to know that these beautiful animals have homes where they are loved and cared for. It gives me a reason to live.
In an interview with The Dodo, Greig said that only eight of the ten dogs are his. Even though one of them belongs to his roommate and the other to his sister, they are still a big part of the group. This is because his house is now known as an animal “daycare.”
Greig has a pig named Bikini, two ducks, pigeons, cats, a few chickens, and other animals. Even though he doesn’t have room for any more pets right now, he plans to get older dogs in the future. Love has no limits, after all.
After his beloved dog passed away for months, Steve Greig continued to be sad.

“I made the decision that the only way I would feel better was if something positive happened that probably wouldn’t have happened if he had lived.”

“…And it was just the beginning of all the animals.”

Greig is very busy right now taking care of his ten older shelter dogs.

My typical day starts at 5 a.m., when I make everyone breakfast.

There are ten dogs, and as you may know, most of them eat different things.

Besides taking them to the groomer, he also takes them to the vet.

Additionally, those with health issues receive medication.

Greig even returns from work at lunchtime to let the animals outdoors and give them snacks.

While he’s gone, the nice crowd has a chance to talk.

“I had a lot of pets growing up.”

Both of my parents were animal lovers.

As long as I could take care of it, they essentially always let me have anything I wanted.

Simply said, “older dogs are wiser animals.”

They just make the place feel like home.

It’s great to know that these men are happy, cared for, and loved.

It makes my days better.
