Princess is going to a new place to live!

11 Alive says that Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Pumpy Tudors recently took in the dog he found on the side of an interstate a few weeks ago. The dog was suffering in the hot sun. The new pet has been given the name Princess by Tudors and his family.
The news source also said that Princess was saved on June 15, when Tudors got a message that a dog in need had been seen on a highway. Tudors found the dog collapsed and tired on the side of Interstate 75. They gave the dog a break from the 96-degree heat right away.

When Tudors found the dog, they built trust with her by sitting in a chair next to her. Once Princess seemed comfortable with the Tudors, the soldier gave the dog water and snacks and shaded it from the sun with an umbrella.

“Man’s best friend had a rough day. On this hot summer day, a #GoodSamaritan told a Trooper about a dog that needed help. The dog was on the side of Interstate 75. It was very thirsty and needed water and shade badly. Now, Cleveland TN Animal Control is taking good care of this sweet dog “Soon after the rescue, the Tennessee Highway Patrol put a message on its Facebook page.

The June 15 post got more than 5,800 likes and comments from the patrol’s Facebook followers. Many animal lovers wrote notes thanking Trooper Tudors for taking the time to help the dog.

When Princess is better, she will move into the home of the Tudors.
