Birdwatching is a hobby that can blow up your mind as nature consists of a vast diversity of bird species. If you are not interested, this species may compel you for birdwatching.

The bearded Reedlings also referred to as Breaded Tit, belongs to the Panuridae family and is honored as a solitary species with a length exceeding tail.  As no other species look related to them, the zoologists placed this unique songbird as a monotypic family.

They grow up to about 16.5 inches with an orange-brown color and a little orange-yellow color of a parrot bill.

They enjoy their rest time by doing splits on branches.

The black mustache-like marking which starts from the eyes to the bill and the lower tail converts in black, helps to identify the males of this dimorphic sexual species. Also, a bluish-gray head with an overall gingerish-brown adds more beauty to them.

The females don’t have a mustache and they look a bit paler than males.

Marshes and swamps are the common places where these birds live. Normally the annual hard freezing winter kills many birds but the Breaded Tit is vulnerable to the extreme cold. They live by lakes and swamps in reed beds as they don’t migrate.
