Can you believe that a dog took in a fawn that had been left alone? Yes, you’re right. Today, we’ll look at a heartwarming story about a dog and a baby deer. Even people don’t help each other or care about people who are alone, this animal with five senses takes care of a little fawn. It looks like we could learn something from these animals with five senses.
The fact that dogs are so friendly, loyal, and kind is something that will always be admired. When someone needs help, care, or protection, their kind hearts are ready to help. Let’s get to the meat of the story.

When given a task, some dogs succeed. When Sarge started helping the people who needed it the most, this is exactly what happened.
Dogs have the best sense of empathy and compassion of any animal. They are the kind of animals who will go out of their way to help other animals in need, so it comes pretty naturally to them. When Cheryl, Sarge’s owner, brought home a young orphaned fawn, the dog was quick to help.
Buckwheat the fawn was found by Cheryl on the side of the road. The 9-year-old German Shepherd fell in love with the young baby right away. It didn’t take long for Sarge to decide that he would protect Buckwheat and raise him as his own child. And this loyal dog did a great job, no doubt about it. A German Shepherd named Sarge is a kind dog who takes care of fawns that have been left alone.
Sarge was very friendly and kind to all of the animals that he took in. Still, Cheryl’s kindness meant a lot to Buckheat, the first orphaned deer she took in.
The owner, Cheryl Stephan, was a kind woman who took in a lot of lost animals over the years, including some young fawns.
When he was young, the German shepherd dog, who is now 9 years old, used to be a bit of a grump. He would bite toes and chase his siblings around the house. But everything changed when his mom brought home Buckwheat, an abandoned fawn she had found lying in the middle of the road.

When Buckwheat showed up, Sarge just hired himself to take care of the deer. And Buckwheat was glad he had a friend who made him feel safe.
Even though Buckheat was told he was fine, the dog followed him around outside. Sarge stayed calm and moved at the deer’s speed, letting him explore while keeping him safe. Sarge moved at the pace of the baby deer as it learned to walk on its shaky legs. Cheryl remembered that when we took Buckwheat outside, Sarge went with him to keep him from getting lost. As Buckwheat got older and more independent, we would send Sarge to find him and bring him back to t

Buckwheat was very happy that Sarge was filling in as his father. The little fawn wasn’t scared of the dog at all, and he taught him everything he could about how to be a deer. As Buckwheat got older and learned from Sarge, they spent all of their time together.
The Sad Farewell
Under Sarge’s watchful care, the little fawn grew and got better enough to be released back into the wild. By the time that day came, almost everyone in the neighborhood knew about Buckwheat and Sarge’s sweet relationship.
Even though he had to say goodbye to Buckwheat and let him live his life in the woods, Sarge’s days of raising deer were not over. Cheryl has become the person everyone in the neighborhood goes to when a deer is hurt or a deer calf is left alone. Because of this, Sarge has had many chances to help raise small orphaned fawns that need caring people to help them get started in life. On Sarge’s Instagram page, it says that the only thing that makes this dog happy is taking care of and feeding deer.

When Buckwheat was finally let back into the wild, people already knew how good Cheryl and Sarge were at helping orphaned and hurt wild fawns. Sarge was as happy as a kid on Christmas morning when a new deer showed up.
When I walk into the room with a fawn, Sarge acts quickly. “He’ll sniff and nose around them like crazy to see how they’re doing and make sure they’re okay,” Cheryl said. “The fawns are drawn to Sarge, and they feel safe around him. Sarge has always been loyal to them.
