This black little guy who looks sad isn’t sad or mad at all. That’s the way they look like. These frogs are known as the African Rain Frogs.

These frogs can be found at altitudes of 3,300 feet or above on Africa’s Southern coast. According to people who have seen, these frogs dig tunnels up to 6 inches deep. But the amazing point is that these frogs never grow bigger than 2 inches. They are not so giant but they dig such huge tunnels. Isn’t it amazing?

They don’t need water to survive as these species live on tunnels at the edges of the forests. This grumpy frogs puff up and become more aggressive when they are threatened.

They pull out everything out of the hole which they meet when digging a tunnel. This makes it harder and often more significant when they dig holes.

When the Mating season arrives, to keep the male stick and to prevent falling the female releases a substance. This process is also known as adhesive amplexus. The female seems too loyal because she won’t let go of her mate.

The male has to be in the burrow after the female lays eggs and must look after them until they hatch.

They kinda look ugly at the first sight but looks kind of cute after sometime.
